I felt inspired to record a reading of one of my poems. I chose “Presque”.
This title means “Almost”, and the poem speaks about wiping tears, even if it takes time, in order to see the horizon and know where to go.
For the musical background, I obviously created a soundtrack. That’s why “Within Sight” was born.
This instrumental is made with my classical guitar style, surrounded by piano and violin sounds that I play on my synth, a quiet cinematic touch, and a lot of learning in my home studio to balance the music and the spoken voice.
I loved this musical experience. I even felt like composing a whole instrumental album. But this project stayed an unsprouted seed. I think that if my music goes travelling too far away without my voice, it’s really not my way.
“Within Sight”, a little standout duet between the guitar and the piano, was released on streaming platforms, though.
